The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse and the American Red Cross held a successful blood drive in Sun Lakes on Oct. 27. This drive was the third blood drive held at the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse facility on Riggs Road. The blood drive efforts continue to shore up recent shortfalls in the blood supply because of the COVID-19 shutdown.

To date in 2020, the three drives produced 101 blood units from 124 appointments. It should be noted that 35% of the appointments were made by Sun Lakes residents. We wish to thank those donors who supported the drives.

The next blood drive will be in February, 2021, at the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse facility on Riggs Road. Please watch for the date on our website at www.sunlakesposse.org.
