Apple Club News

Gary Bross

On March 6 Gary T. held a class on Applications Built Into Your Apple Device. He covered in detail Contacts, Calendar, and Wallet in the first hour. In the second hour we opened the floor to all questions, and John and Ken G. helped with one-on-one resolution of questions/issues. The 41 members in attendance liked the way the information flowed and questions got answered.

On April 3 and May 1, Applications Built Into Your Apple Device classes will continue to be held in Cottonwood’s Phoenix Room. The next built-in apps we will cover are Apple Maps, Messages, Notes, Find My, News, Email, Weather, and more. Register for the classes on our website.

In the May 1 class, we will also allot time for members to discuss their favorite apps so we can all learn from each other.

The classes last approximately one hour, so the second hour we will handle as a question-and-answer period for any issues needing discussion. To ensure your issue gets answered, it is best to email it ahead of time to [email protected].

Register for classes by visiting the website sunlakesappleclub.com. Then, under “Upcoming Events,” click on the “Details” of the event to find the date, time, and place of the event, and then follow the instructions under “Register Now” to sign up for the event. Registration is limited due to room size, nature of the discussion, and health safety concerns.

We are always open to new people helping to keep the club active and interesting. There are several open spots on the website, so please let us know if you are able to help.

Our club’s mission is to provide a forum that is educational, supportive, and fun—where we can all learn how to get the most from our Apple devices, regardless of our knowledge level. We are a no-fee club, and our objective is to remain so. As always, we continue to invite new members.
