The Sand Pigeons will take you on a colorful exploration of the musical diversity of Americana including cowboy tunes, Caribbean, rockabilly and the Beatles! A variety of instruments are demonstrated along the way.

Wednesday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m.: Mysteries of the Harpsichord*

The harpsichord is an expressive and subtle musical instrument with a unique and beautiful repertoire. Dr. Guy Whatley will demonstrate the stunning music written for the harpsichord, the astonishing techniques needed to bring it to life in the 21st century and how the harpsichord is a vibrant and living instrument today. Saturday, April 7, at 11:00 a.m.: You Are Where You Eat: How Dining Out Defines Arizona*

Tuesday, April 17, at 9:00 a.m.: Managing Chronic Disease Meet and Greet

This Meet and Greet is for interested participants to meet the teacher and hear an introduction to the seven-week class that starts on May 1. Managing a chronic condition like diabetes, arthritis or high blood pressure can be complex and sometimes frustrating. Healthy Living (CDSMP) is a series of interactive classes designed to help you learn chronic disease self-management skills.

Saturday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m.: Chef Larry Canepa Presents FOOD the Musical

Sound has been overlooked as a factor in eating. We’ll pair music and cuisine in this fun presentation, featuring all types of music-inspired complimentary samples. Registration required. Limited to 60 people.

Monday, April 23, at 1:00 p.m.: It’s a Mystery to Me: Storytime for Grownups

Do you love to know “whodunit”?? Join us for this grownup storytime, featuring a mystery short story or two. Feel free to bring a lunch or snack and enjoy being read to!

Tuesday, April 24, at 1 p.m.: Create a Mini Greenhouse for Orchids

Join the Arizona Orchid Society to learn how to make a mini-greenhouse for orchid seedlings. Please bring your own empty milk or water jug to create the greenhouse. All other supplies will be provided. Registration required. Limit 35 people.

*Seating will begin 15 minutes before the program starts. Limit 100 people.
