On April 18, the speaker at the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood meeting will be Gabe Forsberg, one of the organizers of Stand Down for Women Veterans. She will talk about the organization’s events and how Sisterhood’s annual donation from Card Party helps homeless and at-risk Arizona women veterans. The meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Sun Lakes Chapel Center. Since 2001, Maricopa County Stand Down has served thousands of military veterans and their families with housing, medical and basic living needs.
