Assistance League of East Valley will kick off the holiday season at their Thrift Shop with a special Black Friday Sale on Nov. 25, and a special holiday sale on Nov. 26. The all-volunteer group hopes to raise enough funds to clothe at least 7,000 needy elementary school children this year, a goal that has become more important as families struggle to make rent payments and buy groceries. School resource officers report more children arrive at school without proper clothing.

The upscale shop features a large selection of adult and children’s clothing, housewares, jewelry, books, art and craft supplies, fabric, and décor items.

The Thrift Shop is located at 2326 N. Alma School Road in Chandler, just north of Warner. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Donations are accepted during those hours, as well as on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, go to www.assistanceleagueeastvalley.org.
