Did you participate in this derby with your grandchildren? Did they catch a fish? How did it feel? Think of this experience. Think about the joy it was to have them experience the excitement that you had as a child or an adult. I know that feeling. My children grew up with fishing as a pastime, and I was able, like some of you, to watch one of my grandchildren reel in her first fish. It will be a great memory she will have to tell her own children about going fishing with her grandparents and the thrill of catching that fish.

Due to the decline in the number of members in the Anglers Club, we are sad to announce the cancellation of the annual Easter Grandparents Derby. We truly hope to be able to continue this derby next year. Do you know that without members, we cannot continue bringing that experience to any of our grandchildren, or any child for that matter? We need the help of anyone who loves children to come to our meetings. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, except during the months of June, July, and August.
