Find out what your options are when Medicare starts at age 65. Dedicated volunteer counselors specially trained by the Arizona Agency on Aging’s Benefits Assistance Program provide objective, free personalized assistance to seniors and the disabled. Services available include:

Medicare – Information concerning Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO’s), Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap) and Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans available in Arizona

Help with enrollments, appeals, assistance with insurance paperwork and resolving problems.

Basic information about applying for Social Security, Medicare, Medicare cost sharing programs, SSI, AHCCCS and ALTCS.

Basic information about long term care insurance.

These volunteers are available to assist you Fridays, all year, from 9:00 a.m.-noon in the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, Education Building (Room No.3). The church is located at 9248 E. Riggs Road, just west of the Sun Lakes Robson Library. The Education Building is at the back (north end) of the church grounds. Entry into the building is from the north. Volunteer counselors are also available at Neighbors Who Care, 10450 E. Riggs Rd, No. 113 on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.-noon by appointment only; call 480-895-7133. Drop by Sun Lakes United Methodist Church every Friday from 9:00 a.m.-noon; no appointment is necessary.
