The Sun Lakes Card Makers will hold their regular monthly meeting on Oct. 18 at 1 p.m., in the Arts & Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Country Club 1. The theme for October will be Halloween and Thanksgiving cards. For those interested in joining us, we are an advanced group of card makers interested in sharing skills and ideas for fabulous cards with each other on a monthly basis. We take turns in teaching each other and discussing what is new or innovative in card making. The teacher of the month provides about three card kits for the other members to make and practice their new skills. Also, once a year we produce a new calendar for the coming year, and at Christmas we exchange five of our best cards in fancy, hand-decorated gift bags. Together we have lots of fun.
