Chandler Center for the Arts: Celebrating Black History Month

Jermaine Lockhart

On Friday, Feb. 25, Phoenix Entertainment Circle LLC will hold a Black History Concert celebrating Black History Month with a Tribute to Miles Davis. This jazz event will be held at the Chandler Center for The Arts in Downtown Chandler, Ariz. This jazz showcase will feature Two Horns, recording artists Jermaine Lockhart and Gabriel Bey, with the Mainstream Band. Both artists will play music from their latest Albums and CDs before performing their tribute to Miles Davis. Also on the show will be special guest singer, Ms. Charity Lockhart, who has had sold-out shows with her Tribute to Aretha.

One of the greatest guitarists in jazz history, George Benson, who is the executive producer of Jermaine Lockhart’s The Sunshine Album, had this to say about saxophonist Lockhart: “Jermaine is an artist that comes along every once in a while. When you hear him play, it’s something very striking—so that the next time you hear him, you’ll know there’s something very familiar about his sound.” On the London Soul Chart in the UK, his The Sunshine Album is topping the charts. Lockhart has shared the stage with Angie Bofill, Pieces of a Dream, Brian Auger, Bob James, and the Jazz Crusaders. This will be another fun event by Phoenix Entertainment Circle, and all are welcome to this special concert.

Doors will open for a special VIP hour Meet and Greet in the lobby from 6 to 7 p.m. General admittance is at 7 p.m.

COVID-19 vaccination cards will be required for admission.

Tickets are now on sale.
