Cheers Members Ended the 2019 Year with Ugly Sweaters and Great Plans for 2020

Ann Kisner

“Ugly Sweaters” were the fun for the evening. Prizes were given for the best outfits. The only person missing was Santa Claus. Maybe we can send him a note and ask him to come next year. We ended the evening with a white elephant swap. Each member brought a small gift which was traded for another that someone else brought. Never know what might be inside one of those boxes or gift bags. It just might be a winner.

One of our white elephant winners was Joe. His gift was a “Cheers” dish. He is going to use it for happy hour appetizers. Maybe he will invite us over to his house for happy hour. Way to go, Joe.

“The Web” is coming or, hopefully, it has arrived. The website volunteers are working diligently with Bob to get this website going. It is very impressive, and once it is done, it will be great. We will all be pleased to have all this “Cheers” info at our fingertips. This is the way of the future.

If you are a single out there living in Sun Lakes, SunBird, Springfield, or Solera, you are welcome to join us for happy hour at Poolside Café in Oakwood on Thursdays at 4 p.m. We would love to have you as a member. If you want more info, call Ginny Marr at 480-390-5145 or Richard Lewin at 480-525-3630.
