Chordaires Chorus soon begins new season

Karen Sproates

As a new season starts for the Chordaires Chorus of Sun Lakes, so does their search for women who love to sing. The Chordaires are a community of women united by love of singing four-part barbershop harmony, acapella style, and this will be their 38th season of being one of Sun Lakes’ prized treasures. The chorus rehearses on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:30 p.m., beginning October 5, 2017, in the Mirror Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club. They will have a Guest Day for anyone interested in singing with the chorus on November 9 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Representatives from the chorus will also be at all of the Sun Lakes Open Houses listed below:

Oakwood – October 7, from 9:00 a.m. until noon

Cottonwood – October 14, from 9:00 a.m. until noon

Sun Lakes Country Club – October 21, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

And you will want to come and hear the recording of our Ambassadors, a smaller representative group of the chorus, as they sing “In My Life.” It was professionally recorded for the Mesa Library for a documentary called Ageless Wonders which will soon air at the Mesa Center for the Performing Arts. The Chordaires did the introductory song for this documentary. The recording will be available to hear at all the Open Houses in our community.

If you are interested or have questions regarding joining the Chordaires, please call Chris Roen at 480-229-5412.
