The weather for this year’s Recreation Department’s annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade and Show was perfect! There were 49 golf carts this year at the parade. The winners were the following: 1st – Bill Cordner, 2nd – Chaya DePerz, 3rd – Kent Skalla, 4th – Amy Deshenes. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to judges Harry and Sharon Bicchieri. The generous escorts for Santa and gang were Bob Royer, Bob Carlson, and Jack and Barb Hill.

We certainly appreciated our very own Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse escorting the parade over to Cottonwood and, for safety, closing off Alma School Road. The CWPV Food & Beverage Department outdid themselves with delicious hot turkey soup and hot chocolate. Last, but not least, we were grateful for all the help and support the CWPV Maintenance and Patrol Departments provided. The show was also a huge success! Everyone was greeted by the Recreation Committee members and supplied with cookies, hot cocoa, apple cider, and coffee. All the performers were wonderful and truly put everyone in a holiday mood!
