January started out with an Ace of Aces Qualifier on Jan. 6. The low gross and low net scores from each flight will qualify for the Ace of Aces Championship to be played at the end of the year.

The annual Member/Member two-day event was played on Jan. 13 and 14. Four flights were divided by the team’s total handicap. A Calcutta auction of teams was held on Jan. 12 with some spirited bidding. Saturday’s format included an alternate shot team score on holes 1-9 and a team 1 net score for holes 10-18. Sunday’s format was a team select-a-drive with the team’s lowest gross score on holes 1-9 and a team 2 ball net score on holes 10-18. Lunch was held in the ballroom after Sunday’s play, with winners announced. The top four teams in each flight were awarded prizes.

On Jan. 20 the qualifier for the Presidents Cup was played. The total number of entrants was divided into four flights of similar handicap indexes. The top 16 scores in each flight will move on to individual match play over the next six weeks. The final four winners (one in each flight) will then compete in match play to determine the eventual Presidents Cup Champion.
On Jan. 27 an ABCD scramble event was played with each team having almost equal total handicap indexes. Each member of the team was required to use two drives. Twenty teams competed in an afternoon start.

February events included an Ace of Aces Qualifier, the three-day A-1 Golf Carts Club Championship, and a 2-Man Pick Your Partner team competition.
