On Oct. 8, 24 four-man teams comprised of two members from the CMGA and PVMGA played a scramble format employing a minimum three drive per player requirement competition against two of our golf staff pros and our two golf course superintendents. The pros had a bad day, and 17 teams posted scores that beat them. Pizza and refreshments were enjoyed by all of the participants on the patio of the Cottonwood Pro Shop.
On Oct. 29, four-man teams of CMGA and PVMGA members played another Beat the Pros competition at Palo Verde using the same format used earlier.
