Come Join Our ‘Sun Lakes’ Got Talent’ Production Team

Ray Texeira

If you have the time and energy to be part of a project that you can put your teeth into, then this just may be for you. We are looking for team members now who have project management skills and a keen sense of organization to join our overall planning team. We also want you if you are well connected within our community or just have a passion for the project. The planning team will consist of the following:

* Finance and budget team

* Talent team responsible for everything related to the processing of talents

* Marketing and promotion team

* Technical team to deal with aspects of the show, like sound systems, lights, etc.

The idea is to create and delegate to smaller teams broad tasks that will provide feedback to the Planning Committee. Other sub-committees are needed for venue research, refreshments, prize management, and website development. There is also a general task force team to help out where needed. If you are interested, contact Ray at [email protected] to get a full business plan and committee descriptions.

As a reminder, the Sun Lakes “Project Talent” contest is being developed to “show off” the talent, creativity, silliness, and fun within the Sun Lakes community. Audition information is now open for singers, comedians, daredevils, magicians, group performers, pet performers, or anyone with an odd talent that will make us laugh or cringe. Folks who live in Sun Lakes (or have a family member or friend who lives in Sun Lakes to be your sponsor) are welcome to participate. Contact us at [email protected], and let us know what talent you or your group has. Auditions will start around November and take place over several weeks at different locations, days, and times, with the finale planned for early next year at one of our community stages. Keep in mind that greatness is not as important as having fun. All auditions and shows will be videoed, and a link to share with family and friends will be available.

Finally, we need your help to spread the word. If you “love the idea,” ask us at [email protected] for an email version of this article so you can help spread the word to all your clubs, acquaintances, snowbirds, business associations, friends, and family.

Let’s go and have some fun!

Are you a local “influencer”? If you or your club/organization has followers on social media platforms or email lists in the Sun Lakes/Chandler area, let’s chat. We are looking for local influencers with the ability to help market the upcoming Sun Lakes “Project Talent” contest by promoting or recommending the project on social media or email lists. An influencer can be an individual, a social club, a sports club, or an organization with a following. I would love to talk with you about the project and how we could move forward. Contact Ray via email at [email protected] to set up a time to chat.
