Quick Note: This year’s annual holiday festivities of ice cream and cookies will be Tuesday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with the election of officers, followed with guest speaker Jason Bagley, Government Affairs Manager of Intel Corporation. He’ll be speaking about the overview of Intel’s operations in Arizona, an update on Intel’s growth at the site as well as some new innovations.
The November meeting began with announcements from Janet Quade, president; Bill Phillips, class director; and Rich Davis, communications director explaining how to easily pay our membership dues online. Our Technology Director Allan Levy went over many of the newest issues we should know regarding internet safety.
It was a busy evening with seven guests in attendance. Hopefully, these guests liked us and could see that our meetings bring so much information to all who use a computer, whether novices or experienced.
“BRAVO” to Mike Long for agreeing to be the “shine” at this meeting! Mike is the General Manager of Advanced IT Solutions at 1959 S. Val Vista Drive, Mesa, AZ.
As always, he brought more awareness and excitement concerning computing. It’s a comfort to listen and learn from someone who lives in the actual computing world. He shared his concerns and experiences of working on computers with today’s problems. Just by listening to all the questions asked, it’s obvious we hunger for such knowledge to safely navigate through this world of cyber technology. We want to learn!
Mike continues to be a favorite friend and speaker for our club, and it’s always a pleasure when he offers us his time and experiences.
