After the New Year’s rejoicing, allow yourselves to appreciate the Computer Booters Clubs available assistance in resolving any resolutions about enriching your computer skills. That’s right! Get more bang for your buck by knowing what and how you can increase your computer talents. This is easily done by attending the monthly meetings and taking advantage of any of the many classes offered. These are free classes to club members and only $10 per class for non-members. You might just find yourself a new hobby using your computer by attending one of these classes. Try us; you’ll like us!

Becoming a member is easy; only $36 individual and $48 for two people at the same address per year. Membership is open to everyone. Members may take advantage of as many of the offered classes as they want throughout the year. They are numerous.

The club’s monthly lecturers and class instructors strive to keep members current in the ever-changing technology. You’d feel comfortable attending as a beginner or as an advanced user. Visit the clubs website at www.computerbooters.org for more information.

The December meeting was huge, informative and fun. Our guest speakers were the team from the Office Depot/OfficeMax Store on Ray Road. They updated us on some of the “what’s new and different” in computer technology, especially in the area of Windows 10. They answered a multitude of questions from the group.

The new manager of the Alma School store, Jim Carew, was introduced. Now we know who to bother when we visit his store.

The 2016 officers were introduced and elected; President Janet Quade, Vice President Darrel Kreglo, Treasurer Howard Winkle and Secretary Sarah Carmac. Thank you all for accepting these positions.

The annual Holiday Social with lots of calories teamed with socializing ended the evening’s activities.

Our January 5 meeting’s guest speaker, Library Region Manager Maria Mucino, will enlighten the group about E-Readers in corporation with the E-books and the library.

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25425 Sun Lakes Blvd. in Sun Lakes. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.

Getting there early will allow you to get your free raffle ticket for one of the night’s door prizes. Come and be part of our expanding group.
