Congratulations to Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank—Tee Off for a Cause

In times of hardship, local organizations often rise to the occasion by weaving a safety net for those most affected. Through thoughtful partnerships and grassroots efforts, communities are able to provide vital assistance, bridging the gap for families and individuals facing challenging circumstances. Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank (MCFB), located in North Chandler, is a perfect example of this in our own backyard.

Your partner to MCFB in Sun Lakes is Reach Out Sun Lakes. We are your neighbors in Sun Lakes and collect food and donations from Splash readers and Sun Lakes organizations. We then deliver donations to Matthew’s Crossing multiple times each month. MCFB takes our food and food donated by major food stores, private and local public sector sources of bulk food supplies. Volunteers at MCFB sort the food and prepare boxes of food and student backpacks with food for adults and children for distribution at the MCFB location and other locations in the Chandler area.

Splash readers have an immediate opportunity to enjoy a great round of golf and lunch at San Marcos Country Club on Sept. 17 and support the various outreach programs of MCFB. They are excited to be hosting their 1st Annual Golf Outing. A round of golf on this challenging, professional course, coupled with the opportunity to help MCFB further its mission and kick off this event for the first time, is an offer you can’t resist. Please consider bringing your golfing friends and join other supporters at San Marcos Country Club, conveniently located in downtown Chandler. The last day to sign up is Sept. 11. The QR code included with this article provides the event details and online registration portal.

If you belong to a group that is looking for an opportunity to support a very worthy organization, MCFB may be an excellent choice for you to consider.
