Michael and Bety Dar enter the San Tan Ballroom for the Emerald City Celtic Soiree that was held on March 9, 2019. Michael and Bety are longtime members of the club. The board and membership at large owe the Dars a debt of gratitude for their efforts to improve events and facilities for fine dining, dancing to live music and the fellowship experienced by our members and guests. Their continued support will be essential to our future success at the Cottonwood venue.
On Saturday, November 9, 2019, the Cotillion Dance Club presents its first dance of the season, Dancing Leaves of Autumn Gala, featuring music provided by the Swingtips. The dinner dance will be held at the Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom. The dance is a formal affair (tux for the gentlemen and gown for the ladies). The reception begins at 5:45 p.m. with live instrumental music provided by Kregg Barentine of the Swingtips and will feature champagne, antipasti platter and goat-cheese-stuffed mushrooms.
The dinner begins at 6:45 p.m. and will feature a salad of mixed spring greens served with ranch or balsamic dressing on the side and warm rolls and butter. The entrée selections are chicken marsala with marsala wine and mushroom sauce or roasted pork loin with a demi glaze, both served with roasted potatoes and green beans with onions and almonds, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The dietary meal is pan-seared chicken breast with a lemon capers sauce, roasted potatoes, green beans and flourless chocolate cake.
