“A one, an a two” is a well known quote of Lawrence Welk as the orchestra began to play and dancers stepped onto the dance floor – for us, it truly is, a “here we go” for the upcoming Cotillion Dance Club season.

The Saturday, October 11 event, “Shades of Autumn,” will be the first dance of the season and one of the two Cotillion dances that are not black tie events. Hopefully it will be a little cooler in the desert by then and, well, we can use our imagination and picture the beautiful fall foliage somewhere out there! Other dates for the upcoming season are November 8, January 10, February 7, March 14 and April 11.

Secretaries John and Judy Ferrin and Treasurers Larry and Jan Ott are new members of the Board of Directors, joining Larry and Pat Wolfe (Presidents), Rob and Shirley Spade (Presidents-elect and Entertainment Directors), Fred and Linda Smith (Technology) and Joel and Adriane Goldman (Hospitality-Photography).

Membership is open to all Sun Lakes and SunBird resident couples. Dances are traditionally held the second Saturday of the month, October through April with the exception of December. The April and October dances are the only dances that are not black tie events. All events are themed dinner dances and include a sumptuous three-course dinner and dancing to live music.
