Evelyn Shea
Some members of the Cottonwood Clay Sculpture class are working artists with a history of exhibiting their work locally and nationally. Evelyn Shea, sculptor, SunBird resident and teacher of the Cottonwood Clay Sculpture class, was recently asked by the Sun Lakes Garden Club, as their guest speaker, to give a presentation on “Art in The Garden” including her work and an overview of her career.
Deborah Silvas, professional art photographer, will be taking a photographic journey through South Africa this summer, and plans to create both a book of her travels and sculptures of Africa’s wild life.
Other class members are enjoying learning and developing their sculptural talents and creating work for a class exhibit this fall.
This year-round class includes instruction for all levels, including finishing techniques for your artwork, handouts available during instruction and preparing bases for that professional presentation. We invite you to join the class and share in the fun while you discover the artist within you.
The Clay Sculpture class meets each Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Ceramic Room (Room 8) across from the HOA Services Office. For more information call Evelyn Shea at 480-926-1240
