Cottonwood Ladies Golf Association

Zara Logan

Judy Onken

Zara Logan has been a consequential president of our association for the past two years. Her calm demeanor belies her underlying fierce determination to enhance the experience of being a member of CLGA. She credits the success of her administration to the members of her executive board who, as self-starters, are also talented with the “follow through” needed to complete projects such as revision to by-laws, attempting to add afternoon play and Sisk Park gatherings, and adding more than 20 new members. She also expresses gratitude to the Cottonwood Pro Shop, particularly to Jane’s incredible assistance with bringing in our logo wear and with Travis who, in addition to shepherding our play days, has demonstrated first-rate graphic arts and culinary skills. Zara looks forward to simply playing golf on Thursdays and enjoying our patio gatherings. She will continue to “give back” to golf as secretary of the Central Arizona Golf District.

The reader has no idea how happy I am to pen this last article for the CLGA in the Splash. It has been far too long for one person to dominate this platform for sharing. It is time for new and different perspectives. Contrary to popular belief, the “old guard” is open and welcoming to positive change. Hopefully, the next generation of leaders recognize and appreciate the wisdom of collective past experience.

Please consider this my blanket apology for any inadvertent slights, omissions, misquotes, and errors. Special thanks to Mo England and John Logan for help with photography.
