Despite the variable weather this past month, Cottonwood Ladies enjoyed some spectacular golf. We played our prestigious Club Championship and Net Tournaments. It is with great pleasure we announce that Paddy Newton is the 2019 Club Champion, and Rita Healy is the 2019 Net Champion. Congratulations, Paddy and Rita. Both of these ladies played two rounds of outstanding golf.

The most improved player this year is Pat McRoberts. There were 34 golfers in the league who improved their handicap. Pat was the best. She improved her handicap from 31.1 to 27.3. A very impressive effort, Pat.

In addition to the golf events, Cottonwood Ladies enjoyed a Patio Party to honor members, both old and new. Approximately 50 ladies enjoyed lunch and refreshments on the Pro Shop patio. This lively event featured good food, lots of laughter and maybe a little banter about the good shots and the not-so-good shots. A most enjoyable lunch. Thank you to our CLGA Executive for organizing it.

Coming up – March 28 and April 4 is the Partners Tournament; April 9 and 16 is the PICO Tournament hosted by Oakwood and PV; April 18 is a Step aside Scramble and the final Luncheon Meeting for the season. There is plenty of golf left. Come and join us on the links.

Tee it high, let it fly.
