The 2022-23 golf season is underway! It is such a warm, fuzzy feeling to renew your annual memberships in AGA, CLGA, and our local golf courses. Writing that check or charging the cost to your credit card also renews those dreams for holes-in-one, be it your first or your 50th, breaking 80, or 90, or 100, or any new personal best.

Reporting outcomes of games and tournaments in the Splash is always a month behind, so be sure to check out the CLGA website for up-to-the-minute information. It is absolutely the best source, with minutes of the HOA Golf Committee, minutes of our own board meetings, Turf Talk, and Rules. You can also check out our current membership to remind yourself of the name of that new person with whom you played recently.

Last time I talked with Karen Lindgren, our membership chairman, we had 79 members with a half dozen or so new people. She is looking for Big Sisters for the new members and, of course, we are always ready to welcome other ladies into the group. From personal experience, I can attest that friendships made in this club are as valuable as those you’ve had for a lifetime.
