Susan Madsen, Cottonwood Lady Niners league champion
We are happy to congratulate our Niners League Champion, Susan Madsen! Susan’s great play over two weeks of league championship competition put her at the top of the player board with a great gross score. Warmest congratulations on your achievement, Susan!
We are looking forward to our Member/Guest Tournament taking place on March 19. Members are encouraged to find a partner and get their team registration completed and turned in by March 12. Our tournament is open to lady golfers in our adjoining Sun Lakes communities. Please find registration forms online on our Niners website at cottonwoodnine.azgolf.org or in the Cottonwood Pro Shop. If you don’t have a planned foursome, the tournament director will pair you with another twosome.
The website will update tournament details as they become available. Preliminary plans include coffee and sweets at 8:30 a.m. and a putting contest and photo booth in the morning before doors open at 10 a.m. to the San Tan Ballroom for registration and purchasing “advantages” for the golf scramble. Lunch follows at 11 a.m. with a cash bar. Ample time will be available to peruse and bid on the beautiful gift baskets assembled by our Niners ladies. After golf, we’ll return to the ballroom for awards, dessert, and a live auction to win golf with our pros. We’d love to have you join us on this fun outing as you demonstrate your best Golf Diva attire! And remember, the funds received from this special day are donated to this year’s charity, the Neighbors Who Care meal program, which helps to feed underserved neighbors in our Sun Lakes community.
Warmer weather and lots of great golf is ahead as we move into March and April in Sun Lakes. While the Cottonwood pool construction has put a dent in our usual post-golf social time on the Cottonwood patio, we are making do with beverages and treats on the Pro Shop patio. This is the best part of our day—making connections and new friends with our fellow Lady Niners!
