The Cottonwood Lady Niners had a great first month of play and also welcomed many new members. Our Welcome Luncheon was held on Nov. 16, with a taco bar for lunch and a meeting introducing new members and conducting club business.

It was announced that the State Medallion Tournament would be held in January, with Susan Utzinger and Minna Rasmussen with low gross and Jill Brindley and Cheryl Kopacz with low net. They were there representing the Cottonwood Lady Niners. Also announced was the date of our annual Member/Guest Tournament, which will be held on Thursday, March 21, with the theme being “Holiday Extravaganza.”

The Nov. 9 low net winners were as follows: Flight 1: 1st Laura Carothers, 2nd Sue Lawless, 3rd Linda Weber, 4th Patsy Lawless; Flight 2: 1st Vi Armour, 2nd Cheryl Kopacz, 3rd Lisa Bond, 4th Barb Sletto.

On Nov. 16 the game was a Shamble. Winners were as follows: Flight 1: 1st Kathy Ivesdal, 2nd Andrea Steinhaeuser, 3rd Pat Tjosvold, 4th Jean Nelson; Flight 2: 1st Sandra LaBute, 2nd Sharon Menninga, 3rd Vivanne Saady, 4th Marilyn Lloyd.

We received a letter of thanks from Hospice of the Valley for our donation from last year’s Member/Guest Tournament in the name of Cathy Kinnick who we lost to a long battle with cancer.
