April was a busy month for the Lady Niners! The slate for our 2025-26 officers was announced at the spring business meeting on April 17. We send warm congratulations and thanks to incoming officers Renee Seifert, president; Diane Score, vice president; Beth Johnston, secretary; and Kay Newton, treasurer. We look forward to a 2025-26 season filled with fun golf and camaraderie.
Also announced at the spring business meeting were Cottonwood Niners representatives to the 2026 State Medallion tournament held in January. Margo Sodahl, Patsy Lawless, Susan Utzinger, and Christy Thomas will be golfing in the gross and net score categories. Congratulations, ladies!
As mentioned in last month’s Niners update, our member/guest outing was able to donate $5,000 to the nonprofit group Positive Paths. We were fortunate to have the CEO of the organization, Kate Hastings, on hand to receive the donation during the business meeting luncheon.
Many of our members have headed north for the summer. We will miss them and look forward to seeing them next fall to catch up on their summer adventures. Any ladies interested in joining the morning 18-hole group through the summer months are welcome to sign up on the Chelsea app.
