Bob Osterhoudt of Saddletree Drive, Cottonwood, Sun Lakes, broke the Arizona State M80 (men aged 80-84 years) record in the (25 pounds) Superweight Throw at the West Regional Throws Championships in Scottsdale on April 28, 2024. His mark of 8.35 meters/27 feet, 4-3/4 inches was also the best performance in the event in the world last year and, thus, also won him the 2024 No. 1 world ranking.
