Craft Fairs, Car Shows, Pickleball Tournaments Coming Soon to FBCSL

And, of course, the hot rod rolls into first place!

The vintage car show in November, sponsored by First Baptist Church Sun Lakes (FBCSL) and the Sheriff’s Posse, offered a lively and nostalgic event where car enthusiasts, collectors, and the public gathered to admire, showcase, and celebrate classic automobiles, typically those that are at least 20 to 30 years old. The show featured cars from different eras, including the early 1900s to the 1980s, and sometimes even newer models that have gained “vintage” status due to their rarity or historical significance.

People feel a sense of nostalgia as they reminisce about the “golden age” of motoring, perfect for the Sun Lakes crowd. Attendees can dress in period-inspired attire, enhancing the retro vibe. Classic rock or jazz played in the background, adding to the mood.

The car show at FBCSL offered all of this and more. While the November car show is “in the books,” as they say, we will be offering another one in April. This one will be family-friendly and include a craft fair. If any crafters are interested in having a booth, please visit www.fbcsl.org or call 480-895-1088 for more information.

FBCSL will sponsor its first pickleball tournament in March. It will be limited to 40 entrants and will be held at Sun Lakes Country Club. There is an entry fee of $30 per person. The forms are only available at Sun Lakes Country Club. For more information, go to www.fbcsl.org and click on the email icon. Prizes will be awarded and a fun time will be had by all.
