Here we go into the new year, and we’re hoping you are ready to help Crystal Cards (CC) any way you’re able. CC rejuvenates used greeting cards, sells them for $1, and donates all the money to My Sister’s Place, a domestic violence shelter in Chandler. How can you help?
1. Donate used cards (whole card, inside and out). Drop boxes are in the Cottonwood Library, in the Oakwood lobby, at SunBird near their library, in Palo Verde at the entrance to the racquetball courts, in the Robson Reserve lobby, and in the Sun Lakes Country Club Library.
2. Attend our workshops. Each month we get together to do a variety of tasks necessary to complete a “ready for sale” card. Just show up, and we’ll put you to work.
3. Donate supplies: cardstock, stickers, scrapbook paper, etc.
4. Spread the word. Let others know what CC does and why we do it.
5. Host a Card Party. We’ll bring the cards to you, invite friends, have some refreshments, and buy all the cards you need right at home.
6. Attend our sales. You can always check out dates on our website www.thecrystalcardproject.org.
