Crystal Cards are being made every day. The current concerns about coronavirus have prevented us from holding group workshops. However, volunteers are keeping busy at home. They are conducting one-person work sessions in guest rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, and dens all over Sun Lakes. We are growing our inventory of cards to sell.

The volunteers refashion donated greeting cards to make new ones. The newly-minted Crystal Cards are then sold to raise money for charity. In just four years, we have raised over $42,000 for My Sister’s Place, a Chandler program supporting those escaping domestic violence.

Sadly, during this time of sheltering in place, domestic violence has increased. Our donations to My Sister’s Place are needed more than ever.

We hope to be able to offer cards for sale in June. Sales are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18, in the Bradford room in the Oakwood clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Check our website at www.thecrystalcardproject.org to confirm that these sales events will occur as scheduled, and check the site for future sales and group workshops as well.
