Desert Artists Club Meets Year Round

Acrylic on black canvas, by artist Betty Tomes

The Desert Artists Club invites any artists in Sun Lakes to join them each Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., in the Cottonwood Ceramics Room (A-8) to work on their art projects. Artists come together to create in many different styles of art and work in many different mediums, including but not limited to acrylics, oils, watercolors, gauche, charcoal, pen and ink, pastels, colored pencils, and mixed media. Any artist who lives within our three HOAs is able to participate and join this fun and inspiring group. We are a casual club with no dues or regular meetings. We bring our own supplies and work on our projects together. Occasionally, we have a social gathering, and in the past, we have gone on artistic outings. We look forward to doing these activities together again.

If you are curious and want to see what our club is about, stop in for a visit and see if this club will meet your needs. Feel free to bring your art project and work/play for a while. There is no formal requirement to join. Just come and participate. If you decide to join and be on our club member list, you may give me your email/phone number so you can be notified of any social event or other activity we plan.

If you are new to Sun Lakes and wish more information, you may contact me at [email protected] or call and leave a message at 480-745-2198. Most questions can be answered by members during our weekly gatherings, so don’t hesitate to stop in.
