Desert Artists Club News

Watercolor: Spring Is Almost Here

The Desert Artists Club of Sun Lakes is open to residents who belong to any of the three HOAs: Sun Lakes Country Club, Cottonwood Palo Verde, and IronOaks. Our club is comprised of artists who wish to create art together in a relaxing and fun environment.

We are a diverse group who work in many mediums, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, colored pencil, charcoal, and mixed media. We bring our own supplies and projects that we are working on and enjoy the company of others wishing to take a break from daily routines and stressors. We are a casual club with no dues or meetings. We have enjoyed artistic outings and social events in the past and look forward to participating in all of these extra activities when possible.

Remember to mark your calendars for the annual Art At The Lakes event, which is March 5 in Cottonwood, around the lake near the tennis courts on Brentwood. This is a wonderful event that benefits our community, so watch for the Art At The Lakes articles in the Splash.

The DAC meets each Tuesday afternoon in the Ceramics Room (A-8) in Cottonwood between 3 and 6 p.m. If you are new to Sun Lakes and wish further information about the Desert Artists Club, you may visit us anytime while we meet or contact me at [email protected] or 480-745-2198, and please leave a message.
