Desert Artists Club Regroups for the Summer

Sue Sindelar

The Desert Artists Club (DAC) is temporarily meeting in the Arts & Crafts Room in SLCC while the Ceramics Room in Cottonwood is being repaired/remodeled. We are fortunate to be meeting again in the original meeting space of our club of two decades. It is a large and light-filled space full of happy memories, so any of you who may be new or a past member, feel free to stop in any Tuesday between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., and join our creative and fun group of artists—there is plenty of room. Or drop in just to say hello. The Arts & Crafts Room is on the west side of the clubhouse. Park in the west parking lot and walk around the enclosed shuffleboard courts to the clearly marked room.

The DAC is a club that inspires and encourages artists to create together in a relaxed and fun place. Artists create using many different mediums, including oils, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, charcoal, and mixed media. Artists bring their own supplies and work on their own projects. Any artist in the three HOAs of Sun Lakes may join. We have no dues or regular meetings. We do have occasional social gatherings where we share our art and yummy treats. If you are serious or just curious, stop in and check out our group of very talented artists who would be happy to answer any of your questions or share what they are doing.
