Spring is now fully underway here in the Valley, and many of our snowbirds have left for their other homes in anticipation of their spring and warm summer days. We will miss our artist friends and wish them happy painting moments.

We enjoyed the annual Art at the Lakes show March 7 with several members exhibiting and selling their art. The amazing talent of the artists was enjoyed by all. Now we can start creating for next year’s show!

We in the DAC gather to create art in a fun and supportive environment. We are a friendly group at all experience levels and media, including oil, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, and colored pencils. We welcome members from all of Sun Lakes’ subdivisions. There are no pre-requirements to join and no annual dues. We meet each Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Ceramics Room (8-A) in Cottonwood year-round. We are located near the Pro Shop and across the courtyard from the library. If you are new to Sun Lakes, we welcome you and invite you to stop in and see what we are all about.
