Commander Rich Volpe
As we approach the new year, our commander would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped our organization in its efforts to afford help and support to those in need. That is our primary goal as a club, and, thankfully, over the years, we have been able to help many with the necessary tools, whether it’s for a short-term recovery or a disability that will require additional help in improving their quality of life for years to come. Our organization maintains a wide variety of medical equipment that is available for those in need, and it is only a phone call away. For additional details, feel free to call our commander, and he will be happy to talk to you.
Our club always welcomes veterans from all branches of the Service. Our meetings are held monthly from October up until April on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at the main facility of the Sun Lakes Country Club and start at 10 a.m. When possible, we have guest speakers, which is a benefit to all, as benefits are always constantly changing for veterans.
For any additional information regarding our club’s activities, please feel free to contact our commander. He can be reached by phone at 480-802-2532. Club members do stay pretty active with their social activities, meeting weekly for lunches, plus a variety of other opportunities that are offered by others in appreciation for the time spent away from their families during their days of active service. New members are always welcome. Feel free to stop by. Our weekly lunches are held at Black Bear Diner on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. At these get-togethers several of the club members’ spouses join in with us all.
As we move on to 2025, we all have the opportunity for a fresh start. Let’s all make an effort to make this one of the best years ever.
