“Don’t take a trip: raising awareness for fall risk”

Regina Milgroom

Erica Williams, Ph.D., CCC-A, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Speech and Hearing Department of ASU. Falls are a leading cause of injury in older adults, and also carry a significant financial impact within our healthcare system. Dr. Williams will discuss how our body maintains balance, the role that the inner ear plays, interactions with hearing, and strategies that can be utilized to reduce the risk of falling.

Join us on Thursday, January 14 from 12:45-2:30 p.m. in the Ed Robson Branch Library, Lecky Center, 9330 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.

You are not alone!

If you, a family member or a friend is challenged by hearing loss, please come and join us for education, sharing and refreshments. All are welcome. You owe it to yourself! CART (real-time captioning) is provided and the meeting room is looped for your hearing accessibility.
