Doo Wop says thank you and adieu

The 2015 cast and crew of Doo Wop 6 Reunion

The 2015 cast and crew of Doo Wop 6 Reunion

Doo Wop, the Sun Lakes Fire Department Benefit originated in 2008, is coming to an end. The cast and crew would like to thank our loyal patrons and fans for helping make this project a success. We were able to donate over $60,000 to our fire district to help purchase some needed equipment and supplies. Thousands of man hours have gone into the planning, preparing and rehearsing of these productions. Over 100 Sun Lakes residents have served as cast and/or crew over the last eight years. This year we were fortunate to add members of the Chandler Children’s Choir and their talented director to our cast. It proved to be most enjoyable not only to the audience but also to those participating.

Now it is on to something else; who knows what, where or when. We will meet again. Thank you to our Chief Paul Wilson for his support and for sharing his talent. Thank you to those participants who gave so unselfishly of their time and talent. Thank you to Oakwood for sharing their facility. Thank you to the Sun Lakes Community Theatre for sharing equipment. Last but not least, thank you for allowing us to make you laugh.
