Doris Hausmann Shares Some Interesting Bridge History

Dianne Zimmerman

Doris Hausmann, a member of the Sun Lakes Duplicate Bridge Club (SLDBC) for over 14 years, began playing bridge in 1965. At 98 years old, she continues to play and enjoy the game. She shared a photo, circa 1983, with Barry Crane, a world-renowned Hollywood producer, celebrity, and highly accomplished bridge player. Doris played in the Des Moines, Iowa, regional bridge tournament when she became a life master, an achievement for which most bridge players strive and many never achieve. Barry graciously posed with Doris at the event. For information about SLDBC game times, partnership, lessons, and more, please contact George Hofer at 480748-1242. Everyone is welcome.
