It’s time to make your voices heard, whether you’re planning to mail in your ballot (by Nov. 1), dropping off your ballot at a Vote Center (by Nov. 8), or you’re voting in person on Nov. 8. The Sun Lakes Democratic Club of LD 13 wants you to vote with confidence. Here is a link to the Democratic LD 13 Voter Guide: maricopadems.org/2022-voter-guides/ld13. It provides information on the Democratic candidates as well as information on the propositions that will be on your ballot.
The Sun Lakes Democratic Club will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 14, with great local candidates scheduled to speak on issues that impact your everyday life. We look forward to seeing you in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club, with a meet and greet starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. Our club provides you the opportunity to hear about current issues and post-election feedback from local officials. Our meetings are always open to the public (masks are recommended). We offer in-person as well as hybrid (Zoom*) meetings. We also will continue food and/or monetary donations to Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank with a drop-off point in the parking lot at Sun Lakes Country Club. We have lots of volunteer opportunities in your neighborhood and beyond. Contact Weldon Knape at the Sun Lakes Democratic Club at [email protected].
Speakers for November:
Shereen Lerner, Democratic Independent Redistricting Commissioner
All legislative and U.S. House of Representative district lines were redrawn earlier this year, 2022. Ms. Lerner will discuss the process, her perspectives on the results, and how that influenced the 2022 results of the elections for the Arizona Legislature and the AZ delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Candidates for Sun Lakes Democratic Club officers and Board Members
The club will conduct elections for the Sun Lakes Democratic Club officers and board members at this meeting. All terms are two years, with only club members able to vote. If you are a club member, please attend this important meeting.
