Elves Spotted in Sun Lakes

Lorri Morgan

Yes! Really! For the fourth year in a row, Christmas season has included elves in Sun Lakes for the Elf Pub Crawl. This is an event that is the brainchild of our super organizer Sharon Howard and was another super success. Twenty-five Sun Lakes ladies did their best to become elves for the day and bring good cheer to our community. This year we began with the Golf Cart Elf Parade at the Robson Reserve assisted living facility, handing out candy to the residents and singing Christmas carols. (We should have practiced those ahead of time!) After a stop at the Memory Care Center, we proceeded to Mulligans with our lengthy parade of decorated carts, honking and waving at everyone. Most started with a Bloody Mary, and we played a trivia game of Christmas movie facts. Next we moved to the outdoor table at Cottonwood Country Club for more good cheer and games. Our final stop was at Palo Verde Country Club for lunch and presents.

Having a great time while supporting our local community and bringing good cheer—check!
