Fall fun has started for the Sisk Park Bocce League

Irene D’Aloisio, Publicity Director

The Sisk Park Bocce Ball League began November 2 and play is underway. There are nearly 80 new and returning teams for the first session and they are no doubt enjoying our wonderful southwest weather while our friends in the north think about snow.

The first session will end on January 4, 2015 and the members-only Potluck and Awards Party for the first session will be held on January 11 at Sisk Park at 1:00 p.m. The second session will begin on January 18 and end on March 22. If you missed the first session, be sure to sign up for the second one.

You don’t have to be in the league to enjoy bocce and fresh air and exercise! The bocce courts are open to Cottonwood and Palo Verde homeowners. Just show up and if there’s an empty court, it’s yours. There is no reservation system; and you don’t even have to have your own equipment. Homeowner equipment is available and is located in an unlocked gray locker behind the restrooms on the outside of the pavilion. You find the switch for the court lights there too. If you haven’t played bocce in the evening, you’re in for a true southwest treat.
