As we head into September, we know that the fall season isn’t that far away. The first Play Ball call will be made next month on Tuesday, October 27. The season runs through December 18. If you want to beat out one or more of our superstar top 10 hitters shown, now is the time to get in shape for the upcoming season. The Field of Dreams will be open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning for batting practice and pick-up games until the start of the real games. There is an exception: The field will be briefly closed for re-seeding sometime in late September or early October. Check our website at www.sunlakessoftball.com for specific dates and other information about our league and recreational programs.

One of our own, Neal Buckner, recently passed away after a long battle against cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Kathi, and his family, many friends and teammates. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mission Royale Active Adult Village Center in Casa Grande on October 24. Check our website for times and other information.
