The Summer Firebird Pickleball Ladder League has been a well-attended, major success. As of the submission date of this posting, the Ladder League had completed 17 weeks of fun and competitive pickleball on Thursday nights at the Cottonwood Palo Verde pickleball courts, with more than 87 participants from every development in the Sun Lakes community, plus non-resident friends, playing more than 487 games. The conclusion of the Summer Firebird Ladder League was Oct. 23. I want to thank all the participants and the spectators who endured the heat and wind to showcase their pickleball prowess.
With this popular format, I will coordinate a pair of Winter Evening Pickleball Ladder Leagues with a 3.5 division and a 4.0+ division. Days and times are being coordinated. If you live in Sun Lakes and are a 3.5+ skill level player and want to be included, or if you just want some information, please contact me at jimvcarlson@yahoo.com. I would include more levels if court availability permitted.
