First and Memorable Jobs Will Be Restless Minds Topic

Bill Gates

We all remember our first jobs—sometimes with horror, sometimes with deep appreciation.

Jobs we’ve had will be the topic when the Restless Minds discussion group meets via Zoom at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Sign-on information will be sent to all persons on the club’s email list. If you want to be added, email [email protected] by Jan. 11.

All people with open, inquisitive minds are invited to attend. There are no dues or other requirements. Just log in and participate. We hope to resume in-person meetings soon. They are held on the second Tuesday of every month.

In the 2015 book First Jobs, author Merritt Watts observed, “A first job may not have the romance of the first kiss or the excitement of a first car, but more than anything else, it offers a taste of true independence and a preview of what the world has in store for us.”

Beginning with remembering early jobs, we’ll look at work and careers from the rear-view mirror.

Come and join us online on Tuesday, Jan. 12, for a nostalgic look back.
