A Sun Lakes resident who served as a flight attendant for several major airlines will be guest speaker at the Sun Lakes Aero Club’s gathering Monday, January 15, at the Sun Lakes Country Club Navajo Room.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with coffee and fellowship, followed by the presentation at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Karen Fischer will relate her experiences going from wife and mother to a 10-year stint as a radio talk-show host in Illinois to flying on the world stage. This included service as a flight attendant with Flying Tiger/FedEx to World Airlines to a two-year tour with an airline in Saudi Arabia.

The Sun Lakes Aero Club is an official Sun Lakes organization consisting of pilots, former pilots and anyone interested in any aspect of aviation. In addition to monthly speakers November through April, the club sponsors monthly fly-in breakfasts at nearby airports and also field trips to aviation-related facilities.
