Free Pickleball lessons for CWPV homeowners

Irene D’Aloisio

Yes, it’s true! The pickleball craze is sweeping the nation, and you don’t want to miss being part of it.

So, what’s all the hype? It doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old – it’s a sport for 90-year-olds as well as kids and teens! It’s a sport for everyone. Not in tip-top shape but want to do something? Maybe this is the sport for you! It’s fun, it’s social and it’s super exercise! It’s as competitive as you want to make it. There are lots of different skill levels to suit everyone’s ability. It’s a combination of badminton, tennis and ping-pong, and it only has the good pieces of all those sports.

Four pickleball courts fit inside one regulation tennis court area, so you only run 25% as far as you would in tennis. Good deal! The balls are just big yellow whiffle balls, so you can really see them. Paddles are smaller than tennis rackets – much smaller and lighter, easier to control.

The Sun Lakes Pickleball Club Cottonwood wants to help you enjoy this sport and will provide free lessons to get you on board. We have equipment you can use for the lessons, so there’s no investment until you’re on your own. Lessons are at the pickleball courts in Cottonwood and can be arranged by emailing the president, Irene D’Aloisio, at [email protected]. She will get you in touch with the appropriate training team.

Give it a try! You’ll be laughing and playing in no time.
