Fun and Fundraising with the Cottonwood Palo Verde Foundation

Elaine Kraemer, President of the CWPV Foundation

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Cottonwood Palo Verde Foundation has two ongoing functions. It strives to contribute to the betterment of the lives of the citizens in our greater Sun Lakes communities. Understandably, it’s also in a constant fundraising mode in order to fund its charitable grants.

Thanks to the generosity of the Recreation Department of Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes, the CWPV Foundation has been afforded the opportunity for some fun and fund-raising at their TAD concerts! During the hour prior to each TAD concert, Cottonwood Palo Verde Foundation volunteers sell raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle prize. The ticket pricing is $1 for one ticket, $5 for six tickets or $10 for 15 tickets. Just before the start of a concert, the money collected is totaled and divided in half. Fifty percent of the raffle proceeds are retained by the CWPV Foundation and the other fifty percent of the ticket sales are awarded to one lucky raffle contributor! The 50/50 raffle prize monies vary and have ranged from $141 to over $300!

Maybe you’d like to join us for some fun and possible enrichment at one of these upcoming concerts:

September 27, Wednesday – The Blues Brothers

October 17, Tuesday – Simon & Garfunkel

November 3, Friday – The Sedaka Legacy

December 5, Tuesday – A Tribute to Christmas
