The Fun Lakers Club is heading into a great winter season in Sun Lakes. The Holiday Dinner/Dance is set for December 9 in the San Tan Ballroom at Cottonwood CC. The party begins at 5:00 p.m. for cocktail hour (cash bar). Dinner will follow at 6:00 p.m. with a choice of a mouthwatering Ribeye or delicious Chicken Picatta. Following dinner, Chuck E. Baby and the Allstars will provide the music while we dance the night away (7:00-10:00 p.m.). The cost per person is $45 for members and $50 for nonmembers. Information and registration forms have been sent out to all FLC members. If you are a nonmember and would like to attend, you may download the registration form from our website, www.funlakers.org. It will be quite a special holiday event for all Fun Lakers and friends, so be sure to sign up early. The deadline to register is December 1.

During the winter months, the Fun Lakers Club will be co-hosting a monthly dance with the Sun Lakes Dance Club. Each dance will be held in the San Tan Ballroom at the Cottonwood CC. Entertainment for each evening will be Thaddeus Rose and include a no-host bar and appetizer menu, as well as door prizes. Dance lessons will begin at 6:30 p.m. with open dancing from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Future dates for this season are December 14, January 18, February 22 and March 22, so please mark your calendar and join in the fun.

The annual members meeting will be held on January 6, 2018, at the Ironwood Clubhouse. This is a meet-and-greet evening which will include free pizza, music and fun. It’s also time for current members to renew their memberships for 2017. Memberships may be renewed at the meeting or you may download the renewal form from our website and mail it directly to Margie Brandon, the FLC treasurer. The cost for membership remains the same, $12.00 per person.

Future events on our calendar for 2018 include Trivia Night on January 27, Gangster Night dinner and show on February 17 and our annual progressive dinner on March 24. For additional information regarding all of FLC’s events, check us out at www.funlakers.org. We also send out newsletters, event flyers and registration forms by email to all FLC members on a regular basis, so watch your inbox and mark your calendar for all of these super FLC events.
