The Fun Lakers Club is getting into full swing with activities on a monthly basis. November through February activities are in full preparation mode, and we are very excited! To get more information on the Fun Lakers, go to our website www.funlakers.org.
The next event on the schedule is the Progressive Dinner, so mark your calendar for Saturday, Nov. 6. You’ll meet new friends as you visit at private homes for the appetizers at 3:30 p.m. and the main dinner at 5 p.m. Come experience a Mediterranean theme. Appetizers will consist of red and white wines, hummus plate with pita bread, and a veggie platter. Dinner will consist of beef and chicken kebabs, white rice, gnocchi, and Greek salad. Desserts will bring us to Cottonwood’s ballroom as we enjoy dancing to the music of Outside the Line until 9 p.m. We look forward to seeing you all there!
The next event will be the Holiday Dinner/Dance on Dec. 11 at the Cottonwood ballroom. More information will be coming next month. The Woodstock/Lip Sync Contest event is going to be Jan. 15, 2022. We are looking for artists who want to perform in the Lip Sync. This will be similar to our Woodstock event of the past, and more information will be coming soon.
Euchre Club meets year-round on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. To join, call Joe and Gloria Tucker at 812-584-2542. We also have Mexican Train every Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the Cottonwood Game Room.
Do not forget, if you are joining the Fun Lakers Club and you are single, sign up for the Solo club. Or if you are a member, let us know if you want to be added to the Solo list. Also note that there is a Solo table at all events.
Sun Lakes Dance Parties started on Oct. 21 and end in April. The price is $15 at the door. Doors will open at the San Tan Ballroom in Cottonwood at 6 p.m., followed by free dance lessons at 6:30 p.m., with open dance from 7 to 9 p.m. Come for dinner, no host bar, a full food menu is available. All are welcome. You do not have to be a Fun Lakers member to purchase a season pass or attend dances.
